It's not the kind of guy that pays with booze...it's the kind of guy that takes it!! :)
I think the body gets sprayed this week and lettered later on. I'm going to try and get down there and get some pics. I have some other pics to add later today of the body fitment we did up a couple weeks back. This old girl is a traveler! We have parts scattered all over Southern California!! Can't thank all of our supporters enough!!

Hope the resto on your end is coming along nicely Vince.

Shortly after that the car was sold to a guy who wanted the motor for his boat, as did most of the guys back then. Who knows where it went or who sanded the wonderful paint job down to nothing. Either way I hope we do the car, Gary and your memory justice on the restoration.
When its complete it should be as it was back in '67.

If you feel like partying all night long then I don't think it's a problem (thumbs up). I guess the final say will come from Mr Giibbs himself but it would be a good time!!

Some pics of us fitting the body to the chassis and getting the firewall and all that bodywork business squared away. Sorry if the pics are small they were rather large files and sucked the life out of my iPhone.

First of congrats on finding such a bitchin car!! I konw the amount of work it takes to get these cars done but it's well worth it keeping history alive! I look forward to seeing it at this years reunion.

The quote above is incorrect. Myself and Pete Eastwood had the privilege to be asked by Steve Gibbs to have the unrestored Mondello & Matsubara Altered get pulled through at the 2005 Cacklefest.

    When it looked like this

Just a quick note...the dog I posted a pic of on page 6, I had to put her down today. This was the hardest thing I ever had to do. Tim I know how you felt losing yours. Peanut was sick and I needed to end her suffering. I know this isn't Facebook (lame) but every man has had a dog once or twice in his life that he cared about. this was mine. She was awesome. Sad sad day.

Thanks Tim. I'm already covered. I'm a big fan of animals...I have three more dogs. It makes it a little easier to deal with peanuts passing.

It's a place called Specialized out in Huntington Beach. I use them for all my powder coating needs. They ahve done the chassis on my 55Chevy sedan and lots of other parts for my GMC truck not to mention those minibikes you saw in the back of the truck. They are reasonable and have a pretty good turn around time. As always...the more you get done at once the cheaper it is. If there are sections that you need free of powdercoat, they will tape it off or plug it or whatever. We left the mounts on the chassis and on the diff free free of powdercoat so everything should line up real nice.
