    pretty sure I was there. Graduated in 64 and went for many years after. Raced up until we got married in 1971. just hot rods after that. Could not afford racing, family, house etc. Loved those times. Nothing better than sleeping in the truck until Tech opened up, getting in line at one o'clock in the Am. Good memories. Thanks

    Hello,

    This event was full of controversy from the start. Several top racers in the classes did not attend and what were competing local events/races were almost as good. The local speed shop/manufacturers did not disappoint in their advertisements.

    Of course, a So Cal local speed shop had one of the largest advertisements to showcase the different racers at different events, etc. So, a little poke here and there, continued the idea that the Nationals were not as most would think.

    In the film, there is a controversy. The advertising company Engle Cams makes note of the fiasco. YRMV
