Well here's a pic of my project as it arrived Set01 Disassembly (8).JPG . It's starting to look better but it's still in progress. It's a '51 Indian Dispatch Tow. It has '51 Studebaker Champion rear brakes and what seem to be off-the-shelf rear rims - 16x4 5 on 5.5 - much like, but not quite the same as, 1940's Ford rims. Any other ideas on the rims?

And more importantly, my favorite girlfriend:

RIP Dale. You left a great legacy for the Motorcycle world as an historian. To Quote Jim Morrison “Did you have a good world when you died, enough to base a movie on?”
“What’s in the Barn” is a great indicator that you did. IMG_2035.JPG

  9. Hay, I just saw you post, and wanted to say that I'm very sorry for posting it. I was 14 at the time, and was just a stupied kid who watched too many of the wild angels movies. Here's a little more to the story. My Mom saw it, and made me take it off! {it was just tape} She also threw my jacket away also. I deleted the post. I really am sorry. I didn't know better then. But I should have known better now. :( Thanks Ronnie

I’m just a causal observer on this particular thread because I really don’t know anything about bikes other than I think they looks really cool. I do however; notice that in this day and age offenses come from just about every angle and seemed to be a dime a dozen. With that being said when someone apologizes that in my book demonstrates an extremely high level of character that can not be left unnoticed!

There was a ice racing event held today here in Minnesota. A few pics of the motorcycles attending and racing.

I built this double engine Triumph from a pile of parts. It's a land speed racer. Of interest is the Harley 5 speed with electric start...1956 650 engines expensive parts inside.
Ran trial runs at the 1-1/2 mile track in Maine at 145 mph.Class record is around 160.. My rider was holding back a bit to get the feel of the machine....Didn't get out this year, so hopefully this summer....Just a quicky seat on the bike, a sleeker seat was used at the track 30138028323_60e6f7a01c_c.jpg

I built this 650 Triumph land speed racer before the double engine bike. In 2017 my rider pushed the old turd to 133 mph at the 1-1/2 mile 32297841983_0a44e742f7_c.jpg standing start track in Maine. It was the first modified production 650 pushrod gas bike to exceed 130 mph in modern history at any LSR track.

Yup! My 66’ xlch , stock 900 pistons, pb cams , super b and drag pipes ran a 12.2 at rockingham in North Carolina during the smokeout. Pretty awesome for a bike that’s 50 years old and was ridden there from Pennsylvania the day before!
