  1. Found this old farm way back in the middle of nowhere with 100 + cars and trucks !!!! Must have been 20 57 Chevy's - one is a convertible, anyway here are a few pictures.
I'm trying to buy these cars but it looks like it going to be a challenge.

That farmer planted a pretty good crop!!!! Good luck getting them bought but there is a reason why they are still sitting there after all these years. Keep us posted if you can get a few of them picked up. I was once told there are two salemans in a deal. One trying to sale the other on the purchase of his stuff and the other trying to sale the first a reason why he cannot sale his stuff. I hope you end up being the better salesman in this deal and save some vintage metal!!!

is that coupe in the barn a 34 33 plymouth?
  12. They are still sitting there because its way back off the road and tucked in the tree's. I've been picking up cars-trucks in the surrounding area for 30 + years and just leaned about this farm a few years ago and finally got permission to look yesterday. I could have spent hours looking but the heat index was 115 and mosquito's the size of small birds got me in-out fast. I will be making another trip real SOON ! The coupe is a 34 Plymouth and its NICE !

    40 & 61 Fords

My parents grew up just North of Worthington (in Fulda & Storden), and I can remember my Dad pointing out quite a few farm places that used to be "loaded" with good stuff when he was a kid. Lots of 4 doors and grain trucks, but there were several of them where there were even old Hot Rods & Customs. This was back in the early 80's, and while most of it was gone, but there was still a few "mother lodes" around there. Lots of nice cars that even my Grandparents who were neighbors couldn't pry loose. I still have family in the area, so we still get back for visits now and then, and it's amazing how much of the stuff is still on the farms there. It wasn't too long ago that we ran across a grove with a couple of cool cars my dads Buddies drove in High School, including a 59 Chevy 348/stick convert! not far from where they went to school. Dad said quite a few of the "farm kids" had some pretty hot muscle cars that they had bought from the dealers in "The Cities", I wonder how many others are around there yet........

How far from Worthington is this find?

Have the "scrappers" hit that area hard yet?

Enjoy people. This stuff is still "out there" but times are changing. People get old, their lives change or end, and property changes hands. Reminds me a bit of an auction down in NW Missouri a few years back. Save your cash folks.
  19. 34 Plymouth was built in 1958 and its a piece of ART ! Its sad the building its sitting in is in terrible condition and one good snow load could drop it on the coupe. Racoons-Rats-Mice have taking it over - but its worth saving. If I can't buy it I'm going to help the old guy out and beef up the old garage so it doesn't collapse on the coupe and save it for some day when its for sale.
