Art & Inspiration Mossberg .22 "hotrod"

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Goober, Nov 23, 2008.

  1. This guy makes Von Dutch look like an amateur when it comes to the gunsmithing art. Los Angeles artist Russell E. Smith has been building "guncars" evidently since the early 1980s.

"HotRod: a sculptural pun. In the spirit of shade-tree mechanics and American Ingenuity, a Mossberg .22 rifle becomes the foundation of a HotRod Roadster. "

Pulling rear bumper cocks the slide and gearshift is the trigger.

With the bullet exiting from the crank hole in the grille, I think he does some fascinating work, and I'm not even into guns. Check it out>

Unfortunately, it's illegal (federally) without a federal permit (tax)....(guns that don't look like guns...)....and illegal (state) in the Peeples Republik of Kaliphornya (zip gun)....

I was just wondering about that. Would it be considered "sawed off"??? :D

Yeah - if it includes the original Mossberg rifle receiver, its a "short-barrelled rifle"...ditto my comments above...
