Thanks Doug, I've seen that page and no way to access Mort's Shorts. I'm wondering if they have cancelled him.
The recently re did the entire website, I'd just keep checking back. They're trying to make it more user freindly across all platforms so they may be adding stuff back as they can get to it.
Morty sold HOP UP to the new gang, who are doing a gang buster job. I have run into Morty down at the beach at a Woody meet, and I understand he likes his brass cars And I hear the original 18 members do get together for secret runs, like the old days.
Tim Sutton (@notrod13), Marcy Molkenthen (@Marcy), John Gunsaulis (@jadeidol), and/or Justin Baas (@Justin B) - Any reason Mark Morton's "Mort's Shorts" Blogs are no longer included on the HOP UP Magazine website ... a business decision? ... legal issues? ... a technical glitch? ... ???
Morty has confirmed off-HAMB what Tim says and that MORT's SHORTS will be back on the Hop Up site shortly...stay tuned !
That's good news. As one of the good guys that did so much to bring Traditional Hot Rodding back into the spot light with the reintroduction of Hop Up in 1993. I miss his insight and comments on our/his obsession with old cars. Keith
Hopeful that Morty will make these available, as they are/were 'gospel'. Gaspel as George Dickel. Ain't that right, 'Whiskey Man'?
Ask and ye shall receive! ... the "MORT'S SHORTS" webpage is back up on the HOP UP Magazine website: ^^ click the pic to view the webpage ^^
Just because a thread can never have too many pics ... First met Morty in 1993 ... when I picked his "RODZY" as the recipient of my father's memorial award:
Thanks Hemi 32, checked Hop Up last night to see if he was back. I met Mort in 93 also, great guy, and love his commitment to the traditional movement. Keith
