I'm originally from LI (N.Levittown), if that counts. Relocated to VA a couple of years ago.

  20. I'm all about throwing some steaks and french fries on the grill. How about that lame time between Xmas and New Years? Just leave your favorite beverage in the snow... no need for coolers when it's already freezing out!

Hmmm... maybe a LI Hamb meet to swing my motor. Nothing like free labor for free food. Horsepower makes shit happen.

Eh, what was I talking about?

Former Islander who escaped from that hell hole in '94. Some good rodding and racing people up there, but the place sucks.

Hey. Just came across this thread. Another Long Islander here, calling Old Bethpage home. Got a 1931 Model A coupe that is in the mock up stage now. Owned the car since 1972 when i restored it but since selling my street car (1967 vette) i feel the need for speed so building a traditional rod out of the A. Anybody need help or whatever give me a PM. Getting together for a BBQ sounds like a good idea. Lets see if we can work it out. Scott

I lived in Laurel Hollow (next to syosset) but moved to Tampa, Florida 16 years ago. Love the sunshine and driving with the top down all year long.

  27. We shoulda done this thing back in December when it was still Tshirt weather. Looks like a Saturday Morning Diner Meet for breakfast and hotrods. Somebody take the lead on this and come up with a place and time. I'm out of town next month, but my shit runs... I'll be there.

I'm an old FLID (F#*k!ng Long Island Dude) from back in the days when they still had potato farms and Bohacks. The last time I was back it seemed pretty crowded and all the rides seemed to be brand new high end stuff like Mercs and Range Rovers. A vintage rod would really stand out up there. Where do you guys roll?

I still root for the JETS. Not that it helps.

Another LIer (Babylon) relocated to VA here. Still got some family on the island and I get up there once or twice a year still. If I ever get this Plymouth runnin' I'd love to roll up there in it.
