It amazes me that these old rides were just parked 60 years ago, the truck has a 52 tag on it and the car a 56! Anyway, here's the 35 truck and 40 two door sedan. They both need work but are in over all good shape for what they are. If any of you have an idea what they are worth help me out.

Thanks, I wasn't sure what they were

  14. The engine looks to have been done much more recently than '56. The air cleaner tops and spark plug wires look more modern. Even so, it would be a nice addition to either the tudor or the truck.
I thought the bumpers were '49 Plymouth.

I didn't mean the engine, just the vehicles. I would fit in that truck nicely!

No, I was fixated on the truck and really didn't look at it good. I'll find out what it is.

Get out in the rural areas and just stop if you see any cars or parts laying around, usually if they don't have anything they know guys that do!

ya never know what you will find lurking in the dark - trick or treat

  22. For years, everytime I've looked into an old barn, its just been full of cow manure and the farmer usually throws me a scoop shovel and says, "While you're in there, you may as well start cleaning it out. . ."

  23. keep in mind, when it was parked it was like us parking a dodge Neon with low profile tires and a blown motor and clutch..... who knows in 50 years.....

  26. DANG! That's a find.
I would really like that pickup.
Looks like plenty of Fel-Pro gaskets available.
Don't bump that upright 2x4 getting them out.

I must be looking in the wrong barns for 'finds'....it's getting harder indeed to find anything....35 years ago, I could usually 'haul off' stuff just by asking and clean their places up for them, as it was ''junk''...wish I had the ''brain-smarts'' back then to grab those barn finds and parts!!! Your barn find sure gets my mouth watering!!!

The 40 looks like it's got 15" wheels on it too, I wonder what's under the hood. That motor looks pretty sweet too!

I really like that little pickup....when I was 18, I dug post-holes for a ranch in NM, and the old guy 'offered' me a running, rust-free garage find 32' Ford pickup situated as 'partial' payment to my wage ...my wisdom at the time didn't want to deal with the 2 'flat tires', so I passed....he shook his head, and I got my $250 paycheck for 5 days of work. My head hurts every time I think of that now....I never realized just how dumb I really was, as a kid in a few short years!!!
