Mopar guys, I need help finding a header flang for a '64 318 Poly Motor. I want to build a set of Lake Header for it. Speedway sells a flange for the '67 and up for $30.00 but the block is different from '57 - '66 and the '67 and later. Does anyone know where I can find one? What else might work? [/IMG]
Know I've seen em before......Anyway googled and found these guys, price seems real reasonable but I know nothing about em. http://www.ttiexhaust.com/Flanges/FLG.htm There's a bunch of people around the country selling oddball header flanges, including a few on ebay. Not much too it, scan an exhaust gasket, clean the image up, let the machine laser cut the blanks. One of our HAMBrs sells nice thick ones in the classifieds, might be worth a search and PM.
Shifty, That is a great link. I swear I've looked all over w/o luck. Would I come out ahead going to a local engin mechine shop, or ordering online? does it cost a ton to get stuff laser cut?
I'll call yah, think I still have number .. we can make them I think ..got some fancy tools up here in nowheresville
Does anyone know where I could locate a print for it to download the dims for the CNC machine ? might save us a little hassle
I have the gasket kit for the rebuild. Do i need to pull off the heat shield looking thing that is behind the manifolds? Thanks Big Dad!
Bring it all .. I'm asking for a print ..we most likely can work off tha gasket We can make it and little old Ponder Texas .. 506 people STRONG ! Traffic is rough here though .. We call it "rush minute"
10-4 I'll call ya after I round up Curtis. He might be out of town, but you never know... I'm intown on tuesday too if I can't catch him tomorrow....
I'm here thru Tuesday myself .. Hopefully some crazy BS does not pull me out of town late in week ..doubt it No mattter we will hook yah up ..sure you would like to visit the "Church of Chrysler"
Eye , yi, yi .. yes but .. no digits ?? (I knew Jason would find the post ) Shit thats big ... email that print to say Daryl told you to send it on subject line
LOL! Hell, I actually adjusted that a while back for the Polyspherical Engine Association site. You got it, man... and while you're makin' 'em... ~Jason
Greg is a bit of puter nerd .. he will call me at the butt crack of dawn with WTF is this ? hey once its loaded in data base , he can make them by the 1000's if you need them Not sure of the demand ? Anyway it will be made I'm sure .. Greg loves a challenge http://sadberrymetalworks.com.p4.hostingprod.com/ website shows 30% of what he CAN DO
With the only set of headers for the 318 Poly on the market today being $700, AND being enough trouble and in enough demand for TTI to even go to the trouble of R&D to do 'em up, I'd say that the demand is there... especially in kit form, for both headers and sheet metal intakes. Have him drop me a line and let me know if he'll be offering 'em for sure. I know a bunch of folks that would be interested. ~Jason
No problem man - you're OUR hero! Now you need some finned aluminum Edelbrock valve covers... or the ones made by Craig Fountain! ~Jason
You got a set lay'en 'round do ya? I heard Gary P had them for $400 + That is a tad out of my budget this year. From What I saw of the shop-and-a half Big Dad took me to, We could be in 318 header flang business. I guess I'm paying for all the R&D time on my set... He He he...
Ah yes, the truck ones! I think there wa a guy I conversed with about those named... "Norm"? Something like that. ~Jason
I just got the "test" piece this evening. Tommorow I will run it by the show for a test fit. Big Dad had the right hook up! ! !
Also, TTI has flanges for $24 each: http://www.ttiexhaust.com/CompParts/Gskts-Flngs.htm And Stans Headers in Auburn, WA has em for $75.70 for a pair: http://www.stans-headers.com/chrysler_flanges.htm The AwesomeTastic ones Greg made are 3/8" and are $100/set, including shipping. Here's a pic (attached). ~Jason
