Ahhhh, the memories! One pic is at Ink Rat Tattoo in Koenjii. L to R is Mata, Rei and Nash from Burnout Magazine in the shades. Pinstriping in pic is Ken the Flattop. Not sure who the guy is with the long beard. A bunch of people were waiting in line to see him though. Figured I'd take a pic!
GODDAMNIT........ THESE GUYS ARE SO TALENTED!!! Thanx for the pics.... Got more??? I saw Billy Gibbons in Burbank last friday.... He had the exact same outfit on!!
Forgot how much stuff I saw there. Hope ya dont mind some bikes thrown in there. Sorry fer the few sideways pics. Cant seem to figure out how to spin 'em around.
Amazing pics this is the one show I really want to go to before I die it is def a bucket list item for me. Any details on the second car in the first post? Also that so called "guy" you don't know who he is with the beard is non other than Billie F Gibbons from ZZ Top.
Fish guts on a stick. Godzilla pulling my finger! If you've never been, Yokohama Car Show is a GREAT one! The rediculously nice people that I met, the cool stuff I saw..... GO TO JAPAN! Such a cool place to visit.
Ummm yeah, I was joking. As far as the 2nd car goes, dont know anything about it. Was a cool car though!
Awesome pictures! Cars are rad as hell and those little mini bikes arent to shabby either. There is a kid at my school that is starting to look like Billie Gibbons with the same freaking hat! haha, so awesome!
DAMIT THAT'S IT. I going to sell blood and plasma for the rest of the year till I can get enough money to go next year. Did they say what the date was for next year. Oh and nice pics any more PLEASE.
Sorry Ron. Thats about it for pics from the show. I believe its about the same time every year. 1st week of December. I could be wrong but thats what I believe. GO! I'm goin' back next year.
I stayed for 10 days. Not including airfare or hotel, I spent $2500. Got a super deal on a plane ticket. Round trip fer $800. It's SUCH a worthwhile trip. Nicest people ever. A little intimidating going somewhere where you dont speak the language. Get a little Japanese phrase book to carry around. Between that and the VERY helpfull people that speak a little English, no problem.
tell me you were smart and some of that money you spent was at Ink Rat. i've been thinking for a while now that if i could pic ANY show to go to it would probably be that one. there used to be a pretty big vw show around the same time to which is a bonus for me. and i could spend several days occupying a tattoo shop while there as theres several guys i've been trying to get work by for a while. looks like a damn fun time. also good to see you are still kickin. been wantin to make a trip up va way...ken....
That Challenger is totally off topic but it's by far my favorite thing I've seen from the show. It's the first muscle car I've seen redone like that since the actual era. Those Yamahas are pretty damn amazing as well.
Defiantly a show I want to go to.Just need to convince the wife that Japan would be a lot better vacation than Mexico Or the Caribbean
