i've seen alot of modifieds on the HAMB and saved many many pics of them, but lets see what pics you have. yours or just pics you collected at shows or on the net. i'm about to help my little brother start his own modified project starting with a 29 model A roadster cowl, and not much else. it'll be his first hot rod.

so break out the modified pics. were talking no bed, no trunk, bobbed off lookin, bare bones roadsters built for speed.

BTW we are proly gonna run a 4 banger of some sort. i'm hoping to get an Iron Duke 4 cylinder from another HAMBer. home made header and dual carb intake!!

so lets see em! i'll start...

this thing will be built on the ULTRA cheap cause he's a younun with no money and his big brother is broke and can't really help in the cash department [IMG].

he really digs the track style noses too. i did'nt think a track nose would look real good on a modified till i saw this pic and it changed my mind...

Come on guys, keep posting. This is one type of car that's really caught my attention, and I'd like to see some examples to.

thats right. i forgot about that. i have'nt been to Dan's in FOREVER.

right on Rustypipes. keep em comin. these are all new to me.

i saw the 999special. kool stuff and low buck.

little bro digs the Duvall style split windscreens too so we will likely build one and incorperate it into the design. we are getting together Sunday to formulate a plan and scrounge for parts. i get a feeling it's going to take on a "swoopy" appearance.

The third one posted by Rustypipes (black with the baby moons) is just about perfect IMHO. The proportions are right on the money.

This isn't mine it used to belong to John Taylor out of Fresno. He's the guy building xadamx's roadster. I think it's down around LA now. I love the proportions of this car.

i'm totaly stoked now... VonScott, that one IS great. the only thing i don't like is how tall the motor is. otherwise the proportions are great and i like that body.

The top of the windshield to the ground was only 38". I've got some different views of the car. If I can find them I'll post them. The body is a '22 dodge roadster. The motor in the pic was a late '40's 216 I believe. That car is what pushed me over the edge on getting my car going seriously. I cried when he sold it and it wasn't even mine [IMG] [ QUOTE ]
