Bill Bagshaw's beautiful little 57 Corvette ran both in B/MSP and Gas. The classified ad here is from the June 14th 1968 National Dragster. Not sure when Bill took delivery on his SS/B Hurst Dart, but it would have been right around this time.

Hey Mark Y, I'm still looking for that feature article I have on Ralph Ridgeway. If I could just win that damn lottery, I could devote more time to finding stuff!!:D Here's another shot.

I think Dave Lewis's first Granny Goose was a late 60's Corvette

Remember the Aurick/ Zack green Camaro that I think was before this car??? Or the Phillips & Grasso 67 red ,white and blue Camaro?? I think Scotty Cannon had a Camaro and Phil Pyle ......I guess Modified Production is where all the 67-69 Camaros went to !!!!!!! After the acid dipping of course........

Apparently, the interpretation of what constitutes an "American" car got broader as the class developed. That big-motored Capri is pretty cool.

    Excellent thread.

MP = RULES ! I'm glad that I got the opportunity to stand on the starting line back then to see, feel and smell them in action. Waiting on a S.B.Chev's 50# flywheel to get to 10,000 RPM and then "BOOM"....the ground just shook as they drop the clutch to launch those cars with 6.50 - 7.17 rear end ratios.
    WILD !

You got that right!! I can remember looking in the rear window of the Camaro I was watching with that Stahl tach at 9800 when he dropped the hammer. It went onto the wheelie bars but not before dislodging a piece of starting line and hit me square in the forehead. Well that explains why I am like I am but I would not trade that memory for anything.....I did start to stand beside it after holding it in the burnout box though......

Man, I forgot how guys used to hold cars back during the burnout. I even used to do it but it had completely skipped my mind. Now they just reach down and turn on the computers to collect the data.

Is It Ok to post gasser and street roadsters in this thread?
would it be better to scan each car instead of entire page?

Hey All. I found this car in 2007. Does anyone remember it running in California?
