Thanks! Now I've heard 145, 155, and 165 is the stock equivalent in radials! :D

If you can find later(1970/1971ish) 8cwt Minor van or pick-up wheels they're 4 1/2'' instead of the poxy 3'' of the rest fo the Minor range!

jangleguy - enjoyed the story & photos (whish you'd post more) in R&C. That is my dream with my 46 ford coupe.

You've inspired me to get my ars in gear & TIG forward with my plan.

    Thanks.

Paco - Chase that dream, man! Whatever it takes to get on the salt, you'll never regret it (promise).

I have a lot to learn about posting pix! Will try again, but I'm only getting access to a tiny bit of my photos. Hang on, here goes nuthin'...

Okay, I apologize for the wasted bandwidth. I'll learn this on my own time (it uploads, but then stays stuck there for like 20 minutes and I have things to do)... sorry.

    jangleguy,
How did your minor or (flying brick ) handle at speed ?? last year at the HAMB drags I ran 10.50 and the car got light on the big end. I lifted at the 1000' mark, the car has never scared me like that and i have had my minor from 1977, it had a mild 350 for most of thoes years, then I built the 377 that's in it now. Im now building a cage in it.

I have had that problem before too. If you try loading only one or two pics at a time, that usually takes car of the problem. I can never get it to load like 7 pics at a time

I think if you go to the Coker site they will give you the radial equivalent.

Did you ever sell that other one?

Mine just hunkers down and goes straight (launches are the exciting part). It goes through the traps at 127 (runs 10.30's).
On the salt it wanted to wander, over 135. My pal CC gutted out a 140 run in it, but he looked pretty pale afterwards... and that was at half throttle.
Would love to try the Texas Mile or similar venue some day. Meanwhile, I'm shooting for 9 second quarters...

Thanks for the push jangleguy ..... my 46 is in the air right now with all of the old suspension off & the crate of Chassis Works front & rear suspension parts are going to be installed (by me & Sheppard Race Cars) so I can at least TRY & get to the salt.

You story & pictures are the spark to get busy & "get er done".

    Thanks.

Yee-haa, I know what ya mean, getting it going is the exciting part.... I went through the lights 10.58 @119 if i would have kepted my foot in it.. should have been up there round 127 or 128, i have 488 in the rear end too, that's why the car slowed to a 119. I think the car go'es streight, some of my friends have a different idea of streight i guess.... what gear are you running ??

I disagree. I sit in the front seat and have all kinds of room inside. But its a gasser too, that might make a difference. I will post pics asap, they are on my other computer. But here is a pic of the engine bay.

Yeah, but it seems like a partial size... and they list 2 sizes.

Yeah, we sold the 2 door to a bored Fiat restorer. He had it patched up and painted with a rebuilt 1275 in about a month. :D

I was not in a picture taking mood today but there was a gasser one at the Rebel Run today. Maybe someone else will have a picture if they post up pictures from the show.

Is that a one piece front end on that car? Do you know if it was fiberglass or steel? Just curiosity.....
