    This is a fascinating piece of history. The ingenuity shown to build the starter system is surely related to the ingenuity many of our service men used to build their hot rods after they came home. I hope you all enjoy it. I also hope that it doesn't get deleted but will understand if it does.
     
  2. Thanks for the link, krusty. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention. I have to
    wonder if my dad ever came across one of these contraptions stored in the back of some
    old hanger after he entered the RCAF in 1940.
