That is f'n awesome! The trailing arms are 63 thru 72 Chevy truck. I agree, it needs to be powered for next year!

  5. Very cool Bart. During the next year you can plan on doing the patch panels, final welding, body work and shiny paint!

  7. Awesome! Great stance!!!

What a great way to recycle useless fenders. (Aren't fenders always useless on a hot rod?)

The lady who gave me all the parts came by yesterday to see the sleigh. She was so happy. She is very glad that I put the parts to use. She took a bunch of photos to mail the kids and grandkids who are not coming to town for Christmas. She told me all the ones coming to town are going to come over and see the sleigh on Christmas.

considering I have little to no christmas spirit, I will say this.

    That freakin RULES.

It's nice to see someone take thier passion, and turn it into something(most) everyone will enjoy.

  13. Very Cool. Happy New Year. That thing will make an awesome planter this spring.

  14. Very cool indeed! Maybe you can find a "Comet" to power it for you thru the off season. Too bad you don't have a parts source, I betcha they'd sell quite well.

It is funny you say that. It was her idea of using a car as a planter that got me started thinking about this project.

My wife loves to garden and she saw a VW with the lid cut off (I think it was in Glen Rose, TX) as a planter and now she wants one.

I have been looking for something to use for a planter but it has to be the "right" car that is too far gone to save.
