Hey all. Have just chopped the roof on my model T coupe and am not sure what to use for a roof and how to finish it. Be really keen to see pics and get info on what you have done. Probably not going to do a steel roof, but was thinking marine ply and fabric? ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1394860986.692973.jpg

So hrm2k is it 2 layers of ply - one smaller on to go into the groove of the roof and one to slightly overhang? Did you cut down the lip that sticks up on the front bit above the windscreen?

I've always liked the looks of this one, but don't know any details...kinda looks like curved roof panels similar to a Model A...:

There is only 1 piece of plywood. The rolled and pleated covering is actually quite thick. The upholstery hangs over the edge

Thanks guys. That solid roof looks great but too much for me to handle. How is the ply roof attached?

  8. I really like that alot. It's really "modernizes" the look, for lack of a better word. You're right, it does give it a Model A look. I've never been a fan of the flat tops. Gotta have a curved transition, in my opinion.
