What is the secret behind model T rear to model A trans?

Should i weld a model A torque tube bell on a model T tube and use a early model A early rivited joint mated with same design rear part of joint from a model T?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks.

Is this in a race car or road car? I'd just mate the A U joint to the T shaft.

  3. i think we need a little more back ground on the purpose of the swap
i am not sure on how the t torque tube is fastened to the trans(i would imagine its simular to the a)
    tk

Thanks guys, this is for a roadgoing roadster. The model T torque tube attaces to the trans with a different ball than the model A and the driveshaft has big square drive. I`m pretty sure i`ve read somewhere that it was common to do something similar to what i mentioned above.
Take an early model A u-joint, drill out the rivits, replace the rear section with the model Trear section and rivit it togeter again.

    Any thoughts on this?
