Here's the one I sold to pay for my Model A. It was pretty quick and a blast to drive.

Thanks, Rebel. I always like the Tweety Pie as a kid. Maybe I had that in the back of my head when I was changing everything around on the car.
Your bucket really has the nice old school look as well and you have a roof so you're not baking in the sun on those hot sunny days like I was.
Nothing more fun than cruising on a nice cool Summer evening though.

I was worried about that when I started my 'glass RPU, but I now find I'll need to put some sort of raised seat in as the edge of the body jams painfully under my armpit if I sit in it like it is now.

I need 4" more height under my ass to sit comfortably and still cruise with my elbow 'in the wind'. :D

I may go for two bucket seats, or one bench set at tranny tunnel height, not sure yet.

I'll have 8" under the frame rails at ride height, but that could go lower maybe. At least I won't get nose bleeds like some of the guys I see perching way up atop their T's. ;)

Goober, Yes I did use 1/4 elliptics in the rear. I am including photos of the later version and the Corvair car.

The gas tank was fiberglass under the front part of the floor about 4 gal. Then when I lengthened the wheelbase I added a 2 gal. beer keg in front of the radiator. A 426 Mopar wedge didn't get very good gas mileage. But I did drive it from Chicago to the Peoria and Tulsa Nationals hitting every gas station along the way.

  13. Those are some bad ass rides! The long car is just so enticing - It needs a full explanation -
The 1/4 elipticle car is farm out! Did that rear suspension really work?
It must have taken some damn good engineering to figure out the shackel angles.
Didn't they bind? Did you have shocks? Did you build all 3? If so, you have my kinda thinker - not that there is anything wrong with that -

Does anyone have any good shots of Norm Grabowski's other T-bucket? The Kookie Kart is nice, but I think the black one is more attractive to me. It was in the TRJ Anniversary issue a couple months back.

If anyone uploads it; thank you!

    The Lightning Bug.

There aren't many photos of it, not that I have found. Here's a photos of Von Franco's, possibly his Kookie Kar as well?

Here are the pictures of Von Franco's Lightnin Bug I took this year at Billetproof in Antiock Ca.
That has to be his Kookie Kar Klone too if they were together at Sacramento Vintage Ford and it has the proper strait Tornado headlight brackets unlike some of the clones.

True a 70's car, but how sweet is Del Austin's 27' T sitting on a chassis I built back when. I know shameless self promotion.

Can you provide details on the chassis set up? I am very interested to know how you built it to get that PERFECT stance...

PM me if you want. Thanks.

It does have a really nice stance to it and I love the clean lines.

Don't remember if I have posted this picture on this thread before. Well if I did here it is again. I picked the picture up at a second hand store a while back. From the way the guy is dressed I don't think the T could gave been much more than ten years old. Maybe a little older than that. I'm thinking the shot was taken in the middle '30s. A real "gow job". At first I thought the body might have been narrowed, but now I think because of the stock height of the windshield and the angle of the shot it is not.
