Looks great,I always loved a drilled axle. Holes say racey, lite,an worked on with speed in mind,so I like putting holes in lots of places,it was only time spent mostly an could also show some engineering if done right. When I drilled my first axle as some extra added detail for my hotrod,I did it in my highschool shop class in 1960. It took all week of class's an two big drill bits,I broke one drill off when my helper slipped grip. Shop teacher Mr. Stuwert didn't mind,I was working on something he thought was much better then a cannon or club etc. 4716667_orig.jpg

  6. Is this car what later became Barris' "Twister T"? It bears an uncanny resemblance....

'cant say that he didn't do this one, (it does look like it might be the same car)
but I can say I think "Barris" screwed up just about every finished car he ever touched,
I like the earlier (red) version much better

Edited my touring post above to include a snapshot of some leaned together junk.

It's apart now to make room for a customer's car but I have been forming a plan.
I have been studying a few specific cars, the plan will involve a careful combination of ideas inspired by some of these 3 (and a few select others)..

Paul, I know I have said it before but I have to reiterate.

You and I are of the same mind when it comes to T's. With those cars as inspiration and you're talent with knowing what looks good when "leaning junk together" I'm sure you'll knock this one out of the park (again).

For those not in the know, when Paul starts a build thread ya best be watching.

  22. Okay, I will post some from the 60's car show photos from carnut. Not the best quality of photos, but some cool stuff.

Not sure but the green T with 13 on the side looks like one called the Grasshopper and was in Hot Rod in the late 50's early 60's
