I figured it was time again for one of these threads. The last one got locked because of drama, so PLEASE keep it on topic (so mid 60's or earlier built model T's only!!!)

We'll let it go because it is so freakin Kool.

Hey will somebody scan and post Dennis Benidictus's T. It is pictured at the bottom of page 62 of Sep. 2010 Hot Rod? I am too old and stupid to know how.

I just spent about an hour with him a week or so ago. He bought it as an old metal body hot rod in the early '60s. The rounded dash was already in it. It had a turtle deck on it that he didn't like so he bought one of the first fiberglass P.U. beds and switched it out. He started chroming and changing things until it was in the show shape you see in the picture. He then put a 471 Gimmy. blower on the 327 and drove it from the S.F. Bay Area to Oklahoma for the N.H.R.A Nationals.

    What a photo! Incredible.

  21. Love them T's! I got a couple of T Coupe bodies and have been giving some thought to using one for a Coupester build...

I know it's kinda blaspheme, but I always liked what Bill Roland did with Ivo's T. Shame what Barris and Hy Rossen did though... If everybody has strong stomachs and a will to see, I'll dig it up and show...

Didn;t Roland do it in black and add lamps to the cowl, how it was in The Choppers movie? I like it in that garb...

It was actually a super dark cobalt blue. The last page back it's shown in both Ivo's and Roland's garb, but I've always had a hard time deciding which I like better. As I said earlier, if stomachs are strong, look below... Barris and Rosen. There were a series of articles leading up to this one on the updates and "improvements" to this poor car for about a year. Good thing it wasn't screwed with too much, 'cause it sure saved well in '89 or so when it was restored.

I'm always good for digging up pictures from 45 year old magazines, but I have to show one of my favorites currently. This car never fails to consume a large amount of my time at any show I see it at. It belongs to Mike Smith, I believe, from California Hot Rods in Sonora,Ca. If i remember correctly it is a car he built as a teenager almost twenty years ago, and still has. here it is at LARS either this year or last.

No steel rebel, that's what's surprising - JUNE 1964! It in my mind has always signaled the end of the cool early sixties, from the beginning of the errrr, not so cool late sixties that followed!
