Hot Rods Model AA & TT Truck Picture Thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by fiftyv8, Apr 7, 2014.

  1. Last AA I had no one really cared about, so I turned it into an A and threw some paint on it and then it took me like 30 days to sell.

Great pic's, I am actually surprised not more have been posted here.
There was one of those cabs (minus doors) in the above pic in the old buick junkyard in CO

In high school [mid 70's] the local hippie potter drove a double A with 283 adapted. The truck has left an impression on me all these years. Often wonder what happened to it.

  7. Always wanted an AA Model A Truck. A friend has a Colonial Cab 28 AA, and says he wants to restore it, when he retires.

  10. This is my Modified on a 21 TT chassis that has been pinched, boxed and Zee'd. Body is 27T scuttle, 25 doors and a 1919 back panel. Axles are suicide at both ends. Engine is 1957 347 Pontiac.

I've always wondered why the chassis from the AA & TT trucks weren't utilized more for hot rods ( see post 40), as I thought they would be stronger than car chassis for the big V8 s. Maybe they were too big and heavy????

I've wondered that as well. I like the BB frames too.

I've used the AA front cross member in my T pickup project since I am running the Cadillac flathead engine.
The material in the AA front cross member is thicker than for the cars of the same.
