I have a 1930 tudor sedan with a 153 ci. chevy fourbanger thats been warmed over a bit. Connected to a t-5 trans 5 speed to a speedway open driveline conversion. Well I destroyed everything from the t-5 mounting bolts, driveshaft stock A trailing arm new conversion to open drive line. I think that about covers it. Got running again with all old stock parts but would like to install a late model 10 bolt or maybe a ranger pickup rearend. I guess what I was wonder if someone has gone down this road before and could recommend what would fit before I head off to boneyard etc. I measured the brake drum flange to brake drum flange and came up wit a width of 58 3/4". I thought I saw a post on here once upon a time with a big list of common rear ends and their dimensions
On my old '29 Tudor Sedan I used a 1957-60 F100 rear end which is a very stout factory 9''rear end, my car was channeled the height of the stock model A frame (Makes a big difference on width needed) . The width was perfect! and you get to keep the old 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. I see these rear ends pop up quite often on CL. Now looking at the chart posted by Bader2; 57-72 F100's are the same width.
What width (WMS to WMS)for a fendered '30 A coupe , 7" wheel ,3.75" b/set...to center tires in fenderwell ?? I already have a 9" I'm narrowing ...
