I'm wondering if there are any traditional examples of Model A hot rods mounted on 32 frames that kept the frame the actual length to mount the gas tank and did not bob the frame. Did it happen? If not, why? Does it look goofy or something? Is there a rationale behind it? Thanks!
I am thinking that the body is so short on the A that it wouldn't afford the room to jack it up in the back. Here is what mine looks like:
If there's one car that can steal the spotlight from the Green Grenade it is Bass' coupe. Seeing those two sexy bitches side by side just makes me weak in the knees. Thanks for the pics guys!
Both cars were built by Bass, correct? My vote goes with the tank elsewere, unless the car is full fendered the stock tank just looks bulky IMO.
Did this on my old roadtser. I sectioned the back quarter ends up a little...swept the bottom of the wheel wells to follow the sweep of the frame. Also cut the top of the panel under decklid and rolled the top..came out pretty nice. Here are some pics
D'oh! You are correct. The gas tank threw me off, but the taillights are definitely Bass. OK, so...the thought of how the tread got worn off the tires makes me smile, no matter who owns the car.
That tank back there just scares me BIG TIME. At least for driving in South Florida, screw that traditional aspect, I have no ambition to become a suicide bomber.
