I can't quite put 10 in mine on empty. I never looked in the ford book to see but Uncle Henry would probably say 10 gallions.

    RoccoATX,

Sorry, didn't take any pictures, maybe on the next one. It is stainless, with baffles. I didn't want it to come up further because I'd like to put some small stuff in the rumble.
I'll hunt for pictures of it out of the car.

    Pinstripingbygato,

    Thanks for the compliment.

I just looked at one of my Model A books "How to Restore Your Model A", Volume 5 and it listed the Model A gas tank capacities as:

    1928-1929 10 gallons
    1930-1931 11 gallons

It's 11 gallons....when driving to Bonneville this past August, I was traveling on RT 80 West from SLC. My gas gauge was bouncing off zero when I pulled into the gas station at the truck stop entering Wendover. When I looked into the tank, I could barely see the gas on the bottom of the tank. I pumped in 10.9 gallons. Couldn't have been more than a pint left. I had a couple of gallons in the trunk, but I wasn't going to stop until she quit.

They say the stock cowl tank is 10 gallons, but realistically it is between 9 to 9.5 depending on the years....28-29 and 30-31.
