Grab some 2x3 rectangle tubing at your local steel supplier. To my knowledge nobody makes a C-channel type rail with the correct holes drilled at the correct locations.
If the objective is to duplicate the contours in the stock rails, 2X4 rectangular is what you need. Bob
i though there was a thread on building your own model a rails out of 2x4 tube. Seems like the way to go. Stock model a frames are flimsy to say the least.
I know there have been more but I did this one a while ago.. FRAME, basic frame fabrication condensed version (since this thread I have swapped out the 9" and replaced it with an Olds rear and pulled the sbc and am replacing it with a blown Olds)
