I am looking to build a new frame for my A and was wandering if anyone sells just the frame rails.

Grab some 2x3 rectangle tubing at your local steel supplier. To my knowledge nobody makes a C-channel type rail with the correct holes drilled at the correct locations.

If the objective is to duplicate the contours in the stock rails, 2X4 rectangular is what you need.

i though there was a thread on building your own model a rails out of 2x4 tube. Seems like the way to go. Stock model a frames are flimsy to say the least.

I know there have been more but I did this one a while ago..

FRAME, basic frame fabrication condensed version

(since this thread I have swapped out the 9" and replaced it with an Olds rear and pulled the sbc and am replacing it with a blown Olds)
