how about another picture request thread? I'm looking for pictures of fenderless, chopped or unchopped but channeled cars with a lean towards competition/show here's a few to get it rolling
here's mine again, just got the blower drive and forged pistons from Goatroper02 the blower is setting on a late 394 here, it will go and and a '57 371 will take it's place 'dropped the rotating assembley off to get ballanced, the #16 heads to get completely rebuilt, had a nice original Isky blower cam refreshed at Delta Camshaft and got the manifold back from the welder's- I had to have the ports reduced to fit the earlier heads.. I know it looks alot the same but things are starting to happen again
I dig every era of modified Model A coupe, but it's that Milner chopped Hi boy look that makes me wanna trade the '53. throw on some chrome reverse rims, a pontiac mill with 2-4s, a candy paint job with tuck and roll inside. YOWZA!!
This will be good...very good! The perfect balance of nasty, tasty, and still, somehow retaining a bit 'O classy. IMO, this was when the most perfect of all hot rods were created... At the pinaccle, but before the fall.... Can't wait to check back to this...
Paul, here is a link to what I would call late 60s style built by a good friend http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62647&highlight=randy&showall=1
For pure kick ya in the see u next tuesday DW's coupe is a pretty wild example of getting it done, unchopped no frills I will blow your doors off style and Jimmy's coupe with a wicked sounding solid Hemi.....both cars are enough to keep you from wasting time and getting in the garage and working on more stuff. One of his first runs......... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=108766 For anybody that lives in a cave.......Take it off the jackstands Jimmy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZAbSOiWZlE I can't get the first video to link up.....D.W. is that video still up? Old strip with your Girl in the stands.
cool Trent, nuthin wrong with a large block chevy and certainly nuthin wrong with a full house Hemi I have always wanted an engine like the Olds in Chili's Deuce anybody have a close up of that motor?
BRANDON DON"T CHANGE IT! I just actually started on mine, got the motor and the rear de-funked, waiting on the steering box and need to find time to come get that wheel from you! then its off to start making sparks to get my frame going... I dig your coupe brother don't change it... Ryan
This is my favorite Model A coupe...love those Packard wheels! It's been featured in some magazines so I'm sure several of you have seen it before.
Nice thread, Paul. I don't know why some like the '32 Fords... the 1930 - 31 coupes are the best Ford hot rods.
Channeled A coupes w/ a lean towards comp........That seafoam green one has been sporting a huffer for awhile now I believe.......
couple simple changes would take this one back to the early sixties look full fendered, but it definitely has the look
