Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Enbloc, Aug 1, 2008.

  1. My dad got his Coupe back on the road for the first time today after a rebuild.

Most of the work going into the chop (Did you notice!?!) and paint!

    Check it out...

Good looking A but I would put the running board aprons back on to hide some of the underneath. Great color.

  16. Hi Clarks dad here.
Thanks for all the positive feedback,Clark has left for work so hope you don't mind me answering under his name.
The "A" is Clarks old black coupe which I inherited a couple of years back, never been red oxide though.
THAT GUY WITH THE COUPE spot on it is a 2" chop.
We live in Wanstead East London.
Darren, I should be even faster in the Meltdown with my lower roof so get that trophy ordered HA HA.
    Cheers Tony.

hey clark - model A looks spanking... its lovely, a nice subtle chop.

only 1 thing i would change - the red and blue fuel fittings, treat them to a coat of jenolite to get rid of the colour or buy black fittings from summit.

I really like Your car, it's perfect! The 2" chop is sooo right!

  24. Your not wrong Mark, I agree totally but I run out time and had to throw a few parts back on to make sure I don't miss the Hayride.
Over the winter I will tidy all the little details up.
    Tony.

Very nice chop.......really, a beauty, BUT...........IF it was mine, I'd want the whole car to sit a bit lower. I always check out the banger posts, looks like this one has been "warmed up" a touch. What's been done?

Wow! Perfect coupe. I love the color, very clean and different than what is normally seen. A real stand out. Very nice job!!!

  28. Hi thanks for taking an interest.
I won't be going any lower,it has reversed eye springs front and back,I like that jalopy look.
The engine is a "B" block more or less stock, fitted with a Lion head, 97 carb, Mallory Dizzy, lightened flywheel with a V8 clutch.
Its good fun and nippy to drive and believe me the only one your likely to see in the London rush hour.
    Tony.

  29. Good looking ride. Congrats, from OKC.
