1930 Model A Coupe with a second row bench seat out of a Caravan. I'm looking for a pair of seat belts, 3 point, B pillar & floor. retractable. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket make & part number that works well?
    Thanks,
    Bob

Victoria British is a source for aftermarket seatbelts. They are available in a few different colors and buckle styles in either lap belt only or 3-point configurations. I'm sure there are other sources, but I was just looking at these for a customer with an MGA.

I got belts for my A coupe here: http://www.andoauto.com/ . Good selection, nice quality, good prices and DOT approved. Don't use used belts.

Only if you reinforce it to withstand a major impact. Two cars traveling 60 miles an hour and hit head on. At least.

Not only the shelf; the entire structure down to the frame, including the way the seats attach to all that. But ultimately it's fairly simple physics.

  9. I put 3-point belts up front in my '59 Ford, easy to do with the b-pillar being substantial. Just have to make the mounting point strong. My belts came from Wesco. If you look at the buckle designs, all the belts you see come from the same place, shop with your wallet.

Answer to package tray question is NO.

  11. Is the model a B pillar strong enough?

I don't know how you would secure it to the B pillar with a wood frame. If you've replaced the wood with a steel tubing frame and incorporated an anchor I could see it. An eye bolt lag isn't going to hold up well in a crash....

Basically like building a roll bar type structure to mount the seat belt to.
