I'm diggin' the subtlety of 2", whacked by Bob Gleim, from Mike Herman's coupe.
I PERSONALLY LIKE THE 2 1/4
WITH YA ON THAT BUD
My freshly chopped 6 incher
Perfect tires; sizes and tread patterns. Are those 16" Ford wheels?
They look right to me when the quarter window is approximately square -- somewhere in the 3"-4" range.
Thank you sir. Yes 16x4.5 on a 4.50 up front and 16x6 on a 7.50 out back.
I took 7" out of mine
Like all of the pics! 4" to 5" are my pick.
Holy shit balls that's awesome looking. Driven it yet?
LOVING that 8" chop on deuce rails. Times like this make me so happy for being short.
and ruined the car in the process
Nunattax, probably did in some peoples eyes but I am happy with it and what it is being built for
56Shoebox , Yes that is what it is being built for and my build thread is on here if anyone would like to see it Thanks http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...upe-build-for-2015-trog.977300/#post-11029043
This is a great service to many. Thanks.
lockwoodkustoms...... Cool car for a cool event.
Yes, great help...now if some moderator had power to merge a lot of other pix from various builds & chopped 'A' threads with chop measurements into this thread,
it could become . . .
"The Ultimate Model A Chop photo reference"
Better pic of my current project..6 1/4" chop...-click the pic-
Here's one I'm just finishing. It's a 4" chop. Click pic to enlarge a little.
Very cool^^^ coupe...
Here's mine, I went for 3 inches.
Bam, happy to take any of the photos above and add to the original post but not sure there were many chops I missed. The biggest thing I see is that many are chopped AND channeled, or chopped and sectioned etc. That completely changes the look, well, that and the rake/stance etc.
Here is my 7 inch Chopped AV8 Coupe having fun on the sand at this years Race of Gentlemen
LOVE this thread... but I sure wish there were more early As on it. Gary
Before and after -ALL 3" ( and ALL 30-31's , sorry "gnichols")
Gets my vote for "Best thread of 2015" Cool stuff!
