Ok ,the torpedo mid engine V8-60 car is done and with the owner. Now a guy wants me to build a jalopy speedster from this 31 Model A chassis. It's been sitting for many years so I figured to see if it'll run. I never worked on an A but doesn't take long to clean out the carb and distributor. A Chevy condenser, coil from a Moto Guzzi motorcycle, 12 volt battery and jumper cables ...then I looked up how to start it, retard spark,pull out choke and turn to the left one turn and so on. It pretty much fired right up. Ran it for 30 seconds a few times..no smoke or funny noises....Yes, I patched the tire with duct tape and bailing wire... https://www.flickr.com/photos/75289626@N08/15262178918/
