Damn, I could have used this a few months ago. Just finished pie cutting tube for mine and for all the welding and grinding I've done this price would have been worth it.

    Hi Eric ,
how far do the subrails "reach" on the `32 rails?
    Which body hole is close?
    TIA

Traditionally, one had to fill a gap between stock 32 rails and a 28/29 Model A body because the 32 frame rails are curved and the A body is flat. Either that or make the top of the 32 frame rails flat too. So with this new rear subframe product, is there no longer a need to do anything else to make the A body fit the 32? How about trimming the subframe under the body cowl? Is that no longer necessary either?

The subrails are 18 gauge, and doubled up.
    Plenty strong.
The cross bar hat channels are 16 gauge.

The fenderwell is the easy part.Drill some holes and plug weld to the subrail.

Alex's roadster is a spare time sort of project. But I wanna get it done and take
    some decent pic's... stay tuned..

    And thanks.
    Bib O'lls yours shipped today.

Is anyone else having that "Why didn't anyone think of this sooner" feeling? Way to go guys, great product. I'm gathering the parts to build a '31 coupe and this is one of the parts I wasn't looking forward too! I would have spend $375 on welding wire, cutoff wheels, and of course bandaids! Not to mention the time this will save!

  17. Just in time for my A project Eric. Super job...these have been neede for a long time.

  19. SOLD!!!!!

Mark me down for a set of those next spring Eric :)

  20. My set came today. The sub-rails are very nicely done and fit tight to the frame's rear kick up. The rear panel is apparently made for a flat rear frame crossmember. I am using a Model A with the high arch. So some extra trimming will be required. No big deal.

    This is good stuff guys.

I got mine in today and all I can say is OOOOOO WEEEEEEEEE they are nice. This is going to save a lot of time and give you a nice clean factory look.

If anyone is doing a model A on 32 rails you would be a fool not to buy these.

Just one more reason i love doin business with HAMB members

    Thanks for the measurements.
Too bad that they are too short for my Coupe as the subrails have been cut off by the B-pillar.

Eric, Great new product. I did mine the old fashioned way with
a tapered piece of hardwood. This should allow people to put
this combination together much easier. I am biased but still dig
Model A body on 32 rails. Bob

  28. Mine measure 29" from the center of the rear axle to their most forward edge. About 2 or 3 inches short of the door opening. Most folks will trim them back. So you should be able to get some remnants to splice in.
