I agree, Deadfast your car is awesome!!!

But jrblack30's '34 is probably my favorite being built right now. Cadillac Motor, perfect chop and the stance is spot on.....I mean SPOT ON!!!

I'm alllllmost done with the '39, so I will finally get to start on the '34.

It looks like a nicely spaced pile of crap, but it is actually the best project I have ever drug home, by far. Expect first progress pics by september or so...

I've had the pleasure of seeing the car in person and it's awesome. It's honestly one of those cars that I covet. And sit around and motherfuck jrblack30 for having instead of me on a daily basis.

Tell me the way that thing sits it doesn't look like it's one of those cars that seen double duty on the salt and the early drags strips circa 1951-1953. It's got the stance sooooo right.

  23. JJ, thanks for the comments. I am still strugling with the stance on this thing. It is actually a nightmare trying to set up. Since I am running full hood and inner splash pans, it is critical that the body be place correctly. And since the frame was Z'd and the the body was channeled all the reference points are gone. I have to set the rad and grille, then set the cowl and the the back of the car to get the hood to fit properly and the lines correct. Any one of them out of place and the reveal lines look like shit. The things nightmares are made of I tell ya, nightmares.

As of now everything seems to be correct and lining up OK. The rear of the car came up about 1-1/2" and the front came down about the same 1-1/2", via a new front axle from Okie Joe.

Still working on it, although it is a lot farther along than in the picture I posted. Have painted the frame, and the body should get paint in the next couple of weeks. The 53 Cadillac engine is being built now. My goal is to have it all together by the end of this year. I have a thread showing the build, and will post more updated pics soon.

Six pack, I like your coupe - it is a great example of a traditional rod.
