Why? Yes, it's Japanese, but it's still an interesting old car. At least it's not built "boy racer" style. It's a bit low for me, but I kinda like it.

this is the inspiration I was looking for with pondering my own project more door. Although mine's a ford... this is what I was thinking about.

    I love it.

It may never be cool, but I'm going to try. Besides, it's my first car, it was CHEAP and it runs good.

I agree with Ryan, I wouldn't want one or have my daughter dating someone with a four door. But some can be made really cool . Ask Wes Rydel or look over his 50. Some have lines that wouldn't look right if it was a two door. Plus it's not 40 years ago and it is letting alot of kids and some old kids enjoy old cars and isn't that what it's all about, enjoying something we all love.

Tell me again how this couldn't be mo'fun...? ;)

496ci, longram-intakes, alum. heads, mild solid cam with 1.6 rockers, pushbutton transmission, 3.9 gears in the rear and some cheap tires to burn...

My mom had a red one back in the mid '70's but it didn't look like this.

Technically not HAMB friendly, but I don't care.

1966 Chrysler Newport. Haven't done anything to her yet except getting some mechanical issues sorted out.

My 49 Hudson Sedan, I came home from the hospital in this car. The futuere holds a slight lowering and a dual exhaust set-up. The distant future includes a 308 Twin H motor.

Here's my daily driven 53. I photoshopped the the white top in that I want to do. And no I'm not going to shave the rear door handles.

That looks great, exactly how I'd do one. How did you lower it? Flathead?

Here's mine before any work had been done. Don't have any during pics because it was mostly surface and mechanical work (all boring stuff).
