That is correct, plumbid. The speedway hosts their street drags the second Friday of every month. It is open to all vehicles, so there will be a mix of things running, new cars, old cars, hot rods, motorcycles, even the family minivan if someone wants to bring it out. Vehicles are separated into classes though, so hot rods will not be racing minivans.
In the future I hope to get some exclusive use of the track, but I can't afford the insurance for that this first year.
What are ya driving?
Most do not realize the cost of insurance for these events.
It is REALLY expensive.
Insurance companies simply do not like driving events.

Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs. Not for sitting behind your cars, but for the outdoor movie Friday night! Or you can pull right up and watch drive-in style. We will have an FM transmitter on site so you can listen through your car speakers. If you have an FM stereo, that is.
At 9PM we will be screening "Dragstrip Girl" (1957). Starring Fay Spain, Steven Terrell, John Ashley and Frank Gorshin. You can check out the trailer here: http://youtu.be/Id452OvPoLA
Frank Gorshin pre-Riddler.
Holy Cool, Batman.
