Man, they put my bubbletop car the Futurian on the poster. Does anyone know where I can get one?? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
...contact the MSRA or one of those clubs on the poster... nice poster, did Bell do that ahead of time or another Bell do it, or was his name put on as a tribute ? (didn't Dave pass away awhile back?)
they are not on the MSRA website.i'm sure they will be available at BTT50's , or maybe at the monthly meeting? not sure, i haven't been to a meeting since 1979
They had these posters at last weekend's awards banquet. Should be more available or extras possibly at the spring membership meeting or at BTT50's registration.
.................None of my business for sure but, is there some reason why you aren't going to this event, Mark? I mean it's practically in your "backyard". Seems they would be thrilled to have the Futurian in attendance......................or did you just want to get one before the show?................................................Don
I pointed out the irony of this on facebook @Moriarity BTW,dad, brother and I will be up there. Give you a call and see if you are around. We may try and work in a Twins game that weekend as well.
Mark, with your car on the poster you need to bring it there! Don't know what the problem is or was but maybe your car on the poster was a peace offering. Brian MSRA 6027
The best stories always involve getting thrown out of somewhere. I once got thrown out of a Hooters restaurant in Mesquite, Texas.
I still wonder what happened to the "missing" documents that accounted for...something like 12 thousand dollars, but that's getting OT. Maybe they found the money and used it to produce these posters.
The answer I got was that most of the artwork was existing Bell artwork done for MSRA. The poster was put together by Eric Aurand along with Eric doing some of the newer (Larry Olson's AMBR) artwork in "Bell style". The posters were at the banquet and there are plenty left.
I know that the drawing of my car was done for the henry hirise cartoon in the back of street rodder magazine back in about 02.
I'd like to get one of these posters too. Won't be at BTT50s, though. Any chance of somebody mailing one? Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
