Event Coverage Minnesota Brewery Cruise September 17th 2016

@scoop and I were at a local car show earlier this summer enjoying a few beers and the topic turned to organizing a brewery cruise. There are quite a few micro-brew and vineyards that we could choose from but this year we'll start small and see where it goes from there.

This is the day before the St. Peter Swap Meet, and also the same day as Titus's party, but we'll give it a go and if the interest is strong, we'll plan another next year.

We'll start by meeting at the Mankato Brewery in Lower North Mankato at 12:00. Then we'll take a cruise to New Ulm (30miles) to visit the August Schells Brewery, maybe a couple quick garage tours
and dinner for anyone interested. We'll keep the thread updated with the route, times, and places.

Better than car show sitting in lawn chairs, it will be a day of fun with the old cars, and hopefully great weather. If the weather looks crappy we'll plan a rain date.

Greg, Awesome, I was hoping you'd see this. I heard I missed you guys at the first North Mankato Cruise in, I was there last week and they had a great turn-out. I'll be there this Thursday.

 

I'm trying hard to find a new ride, but having no luck at all. Yesterday, I spent 9 hours in the truck and came home with an empty trailer. Sign me up for next year / bump!

 

I have some extra junk you could drive...seriously if you don't find something.....

 

I toured Schells yesterday that place is really cool.Can't wait to go again.

 

The good news...I may have found a car. The bad news...I'm going to a concert that night / pre-party that afternoon. I will drink Schells and think happy thoughts. Be safe / bump!

Probably another 5-7 I gotta to make a few calls in the tomorrow, could be more. Not too big.

I just saw this and am bumming. If you do one in october I would also go. I could get a few local cars to come from the Cologne/Waconia area. Unfortunately tomorrow is the waconia car show and most of us local car guys volunteer for the show and will not be able to attend this one. Sounds like a way better time to me and hope to make the next one!!!!

 

I think with a little joint planning we could pull off another. In reality it would be fun to make it a little more about the journey than the destination. Put a few miles on, have an interesting place to meet up, could be a distillery/vineyard/or a junkyard.
