Well, back in the 60's when I was married, had two kids, and no money...while my single buddies were out buying and building cool stuff....I managed to build this home made mini dragster..
I used an old Harley servi-car rear frame, Harley 45 engine with three speed plus reverse transmission, cut up and welded together several old bicycle frames for the side rails..made the front end out of an old leaf spring and used some bicycle type spoke wheels that were on a mickey mouse old light trailer, a Crosley steering wheel and box, and topped it off with an authentic 60's orange fiberglass bar stool seat !!
That thing was a ball to drive around fersure...and I wish I still had it...
Only slight diversion was the chain driving right between my legs...:p:rolleyes:
I just found a box of old pictures in the basement that I had completely lost, and this as well as many other old pics was in it....:D

Not sure...shortly after this picture was taken (in 1967) I moved from WI to North Carolina...
I decided not to take it with, and gave it to a troubled young guy (~15 years old) who loved to hang around when I was building it.
He had a pathetic home life, and I was sorta mentoring him, and thought it might help him out by showing some compassion....I made him promise to do some specific positive things in life for himself in return for my gift...
Unfortunately I lost track of him, as well as my project...
Some day I may just build another one like it for old times sake..

Neat. What did you do for brakes?

I used just the rear brakes from the servi-car by making a hand brake, located just to the left.
If you look real close you can see the chrome ball on top of the brake handle...
    Actually worked quite well....
Back in those days a friend and I made probably ~8-10 three wheel choppers out of those old police three wheelers. (Budget ones...same engine...just fat tires on the back and made a real low seat)
Used to buy them for less than $50 back then.
First thing we did was take off the back box and fenders and throw them in the dump..:eek::confused:
Geesh, I sure will I had some of them now...
ON EDIT: Here is another picture showing it a little better...
