I've been looking for this cartoon for years, finally found it. From 1953 I think, here's "Mighty Mouse - Hot Rods!"

    Here's the plot:

"Teenage mice get out of school and drive their hot rods around town, scaring the wits out of the local townspeople. But then three bad cats hatch a plan to kidnap (mousenap?) all these teenage terrors of the road. But of course, in the end, it's Mighty Mouse saving the day!"

This has to be the kind of propaganda Wally Parks was fighting so hard to defeat.

Things I learned from this cartoon:

    1) Pouring bullets into your radiator turns your exhaust pipe into a machine gun.
    2) Teen mice rodders didn't like highboys.
    3) Modified engines accept oil like an infant at feeding time.
    4) Mighty Mouse is unfamiliar with concept of "as the crow flies".
    5) Cats in zoot suits are not to be trusted. But they drive sharp customs.
