I am going to be welding up a Stainless Steel Exhaust using my Mig Welder with Stainless Wire. I use Stargon Shield Gas normally but is this ok when doing stainless? Or What would be a better Shield Gas for this application. I have an extra Tank so I can have the ability to switch as required.

i think strait argon would be the gas use. thats what youd use with a tig. 25%/75% might work good enough for exhaust work though. not like it holds the car together

  3. use 75/25 or tri mix .dont use pure argon with mig s/s.
