Well I finally got one of the king pins out of 46 front end, it was no easy task either. I had to cut the axle so that it would fit in my crappy little press. But it worked !!![IMG]

I bet it looked a little something like this---
    [IMG]

I think the same could be made for an I-beam, but it would take a lathe and some supports off to the side so you dont have to cut the beam. Ive got an old A-D beam that Im prolly gonna have to make one for. Luckily I have access to a lathe and a mill.

Got the front end together so now I just gotta cut the frame down to where I want it. So don't worry it's not gonna be that long.

Lots of variables in axles. Call Stan Hopkins off 175 in dallas, he would be able to tell you if it will fit for sure. He has a couple dozen racks full of axles. He does drive shafts, too. I've personaly used him a few times, and three of the shops I've worked at and have never had a problem.

do you want to retrograde to non-self adjusting brakes or do you want the banjo axle stub end poking out of the wheel?

it is possible to machine down a hub and axle end to fit over the bronco drum and studs and protrude out the wheel.
