If you are going all the way to TJ, why not spend the extra $25 and get the full Toucas y Rollas interior done on your ride?

I always have the guys that go to Mexico during Christmas bring me acouple back. I'm ready to ditch mine and head to TJ and get my tuck n roll done. They were only supposed to be temporary!

got mine in Mexico on my honeymoon, used it up/rips and last year we were in Disney and they had them at Epcot in the Mexico showcase.
    Color better matched my car.
I like it and didn't spend a whole lot of time thinking about who else will or wont.

PS. true military surplus is hard to find here in Oz. They have to distroy it, nothing is (Legaly) aloud to be sold on to the public anymore.

  6. Every time I think California has stupid laws, I'm glad I don't have the rules and inspections some others have. My hat is off to guys like you, Doc, for building and driving hot rods and customs in spite of the hassles.

I remember sitting down with a bayonett and helping to tear up a pile of Army blankets and single bed sheete that was 20 ft high and 50 ft square. Nothing wrong with them at all. I took about 20 blankets and 50 odd sheets but Im down to one blamket and about 10 sheets.

And here we call Aussy cattle dogs, a cattle dog. I hear in Brazil they only have nuts, not Brazil nuts too...
Oh, and we dont call Dingos pets, we shoot em.

Don't do that. Trade it for a Mexican blanket made in China. Then buy some Swiss Cheese and French Fries covered in Canadian Bacon while playing Russian Roulette. But don't get any Greece on your Turkey while wearing a Panama hat ESPECIALLY if you are walking around waving your Italian Sausage.

ha, does that also mean that 60% of the time it looks good every time?

for all of your 1/2 Mexicans, the rule is you can only have 1/2 of a Mexican blanket in your car!

  16. Nice interpretation Doug.

I am gonna cover my seats with a Scottish tartan wool blanket.-Weeks

  17. This got me thinking, how about large seed bags for midwestern cars?

Oh, you can always run what you like-that's like the First Rule of Hot Rods. But,honestly,it's hard to find a car now that's not MB or tweed. Seems like the MB in a car is now kinda "billet" to me.

You mean, even if I'm half Mexican, I can't have a Mexican blanket in my own car, because, I didn't personally go to TJ and barter for it. Jeeesh, your a tough one to please.

Your two halves would add together to make one authentic Mexican. You could share a blanket. Buy a really big one and split it.:)

I have always used WWII/Korean era US Army blankets. Wool and olive drab and a nice big US right in the middle. Been using them for seat covers for years.

Truck stops are a great place for Mexican blankets and cool shifter knobs. I won't even mention the "Lot Lizards".
