Here's an easy one. To figure out metric tap drill size subtract the pitch from the major diameter and you got it. Say a thread of 6mmX1 pitch, subtract 1 from 6 and you have the tap drill size.
Handy stuff here! Thanks. Of course yes, yes, it IS O/T... But still, pretty good to know how to find the tap drill dia.
I put metric bolts on my cars just to screw with people! Not really but I'd bet that would piss a new owner off.
It is a good piece of tech.... and is NOT O/T.... with out metric threads on your car you would not have spark plugs. and then where would you be??
You think im messing with you.... dont you.... you might want to go and put a thread gage on your plug thread. The only standard threaded ones Ive seen are some BIG industrial jobs. and yes I know the hex is standard
use them all day long! can't remember when i used a set of standard allens last time because the machine i repair are german, all metric and stainless.
i have horrible nightmares about those metric allen heads.... i cant count how many of those allen sets i have... i cant find them when i need them
