    How many oz. of metalflake(appx)

    should It take to paint a model A coupe

    The generic rule of thumb is 1 oz. for every quart of clear. Are you looking for complete coverage or just trying to highlight the base color?

    Im going to do complete coverage on it

    Its also just a body and grill

    no fenders or hood

    dude to many variables it depends on how covered you want it depends on the size of your flake and brand also tip size??
    I suggest you get with the co making it and find out what they suggest for decent coverage for your app!!
    I usally just eyeball it.. If it needs more put more on if itl ooks like to much than take some off!!

    I usually like to have around 8 oz on hand for a flake job on a whole car. You won;t need all of it, but I think you'd rather have more than not enough.
     
  7. I used a whole jar of Old School Flake doing the roof of a 64 Grand Prix, and the steering wheel. I also layed down a base coat of a color very close to the flake first to help coverage-wise.
