Metal roof on a 1934 Dodge pickup. I want to fill the hole in the roof does anyone know what car or truck I could use that would work with compound curves. Thank you
Before you get honked on, a little introduction and more info, like where you are located, on your profile page will keep the hard core at bay. As for your ? a station wagon is probably your best bet, but make a couple of cardboard cutout profiles of your top and take them to a wrecking yard to use as a guide to the compound curve issue.
I have a Walden Sped Shop insert in my 1934 Plymouth coupe and it fit perfect. Best money I ever paid. I tried insert out of a couple used cars but none fit as nice as the Walden insert.
I was thinking tinted plexiglass or lucite over a nice wood frame for my 35 (early ) dodge PU. Try to find a roof from something older than the 80s as newer is a lot thinner high carbon steel .
I've a 31 or 32 Dodge PU, full metal roof...did they change in later years?...or was yours cut out? Sorry no help, but am curious.
Mine is factory fabric / wood insert , I think the next 1936 body update had full solid roof . ( I need both window moldings for the doors if any one has spares . )
I did check with Walden he wanted 450. Plus shipping I will do a vinyl like the factory. Thanks for the reply.
