Tried the search function with no luck.

I am putting a 324 olds back in my 50 Merc. With the steering box, master cylinder and starter all on the driver side it gets really tight for the header. I dont want to go to a rack and pinion if at all possible. Is there a smaller steering box out there that will work? What do you guys suggest?

I will post some close up pics of the steering area soon.

I have a 390 FE in my Merc and I used a steering box out of a late 90's Jeep Cherokee. The one with the smiling face on the top. But I don't know if you want power steering. Three out of the four holes lined up.

Here's some close up shots. The back side of the center port is 1 1/2" away from the corner of the steering box. To make matters worse, the box has been ground down.
