All cars that will be racing must meet event criteria and must be pre-registered. If you want to be in the car show only and not race, you do not need to pre-register. We are taking pre-registrations now. Once approved you will receive a confirmation email with your number that you need to bring to the gate the day of the race. This number gets you in. We have a few free Saturday entries and a free event shirt and a few other goodies that we will randomly give out to a few of the lucky racers. Don’t worry, you will know if it is you.

PICTURE: a picture or two of how your car will look on race day including wheels.

This information is for our own use and will not be given to anyone else or sold. We need it to plan the event, send out information, and to be able to identify cars and owners for giveaways, magazines articles and just so we can say hi to you.

Cost to race $30.00 per day, Spectators and car show entries are $15.00 per day

# 30, here. Counting down the days 'till July 18th. only 7.5 months! By the way, what's the scoop on Friday, the 18th? Are we racing that day, too, or is that just a set-up day to park your trailer?

 

We are racing on Friday as well! 3 days of racing for the first time ever.

I can attest to this. ^^^^

I think I may have set track record . 52 mph and 24 sec.
still had a great time.

 

While I can't say that I beat your record time, I can say that the most fun pass I made this entire year... was also my slowest pass this year!

Those close runs are always fun.

 

I think a HAMBer out of the Detroit area with a very similar combo to mine might be making the trip out with me,so we will have some very close races.
Should be a really fun time

I'm trying to get damn near everyone I know to make the trip out...I'm pretty stoked about attending.
I don't have too many buddies with pre-66 stuff running at the moment,but I have a bunch of buddies interested in making the trip just to spectate and soak in the vibe in the pits....
Look the fuck out next year though....I should have the AA/Altered Coupe up and running with the supercharged,stroked early Hemi and HydroStick combo in time,and hoping to have the A/FX 65 M****ang ready the year after that,if I can afford to finish it out with a decent 427 SOHC

This is the one event I look forward to every year. So will the track be open to camp Thursday night or just show up early and race Friday?
Should be in the 11's this time around.

 

I am a west coast guy recently transplanted to Illinois, so I have never been to this event. I plan to attend, how is the swap meet? Is it a real one with used parts, or a pseudo one with new parts venders, and t-shirts?

 

I'm bringing a ton of Hemi parts,so I'll try to hold up my corner of the swap meet....lol!

I would say this was the real deal swap meet. It defiantly isn’t a flee market with grandma made doilies , and useless trinkets.<O
They did have some cool azz shirts .
you won’t be disappointed.
