Can you help me because my pedale clutch is not easy to drive now and I think I'm going to put on my old original clutch 10" thank's for your help
Il ya beaucoup d'embrayages McLeod. Quel les sont les pièces d'embrayage et de pression plaque (nombres?)?
i dont know about todays offering from them but back in my day i bought a 3800 lb. clutch set up for racing. i had to almost stand on the clutch pedal to push in in.but in your case you might want someone to push it in while your under it lookin for binding.
My wife hated to drive my 55 because it wore her leg out. I had them built downtown Houston, but they would still bust the finger pins after awhile.
The reason that I drive an automatic is that my leg is no longer strong enough to release a performance clutch. I would take a look at the linkage for binding as has been suggested but the truth is that I should probably just welcome you to the world of high performance.
I had a Mcleod street/strip clutch in my '65 Chevy Biscayne. It was pretty hard but manageable. The make 3 kinds. street, street/strip and strip. I should have gone with the street, but I was going to drag race the car occasionally. Center Force has a dual friction clutch set-up that has low pedal pressure but grabs great. In hind sight, I should have used the Center Force clutch.
Did you take out a stock diaphram clutch and put in a Street/Strip Borg n Beck? If "yes" then there's your problem. We need more details.
Ok thank's I buy this one to Red's Headers with the disc http://reds-headers.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=429 It was put on a flathead with a 39 transmission 3 speeds , but I don't know what sort of Pressure Plate is it !
comme répondu au dessus je ne sais pas je l'ai acheter chez red's headers il n'a qu'1 model en stock ! il y a 9 ressorts de poussés dessus
yeah aint that the truth beaner... i cant hardly push in a hyd.clutch any more..and i cant get my foot high enough to put it on the pedal!! so as much as i LOVE a four speed car i have to drive a auto.but im building a manual only auto....lol really.i had a brother you kick started his ol pan for so long that he finally blew out his knee. now he has a glass knee..lol not really but he does have a new knee...and a button starter!!!!
I was asked ( told actually) to look at the barnette clutch that a fella from so cal had on his pan/shovel. He had use a mousetrap eliminator and a full brace of barnet heavy springs. he said it was hard to pull, well no shit sherlok. I told him I had to make some adjustments and had him pull the clutch, then I reached down with some lineman pliers and cut his cable. That did two things made it real easy to pull and made him mad as hell. He chased me around and around the motor cycles for a while until I finally convinced him to take 20 bucks and my bike and go to the bar. I replaced his cable with a new one, and replaced every other spring with a stock spring. He was happy with the bike but from what I understand he is still mad at me. Some guys just don't have any sense of humor.
