Hi gents finally my supercharged Merc is running. Lots of brackets and special devices to get her running and looking right! Some details: . 53 Merc .060 over . Regular Merc 4" crank . Homemade mounting "plate" scavenged from a piece of 8" X 8" X .050 drop-off . Idler from a cutdown Chrysler blower idler . Bottom pulley is an exact copy of an original McCullough lower pulley . Fan has been moved forward 1". . Retapped the hub and used 3.25" 12X24 allen head cap screws . AFB has been adapted to original 462 manifold . 8BA distributor has been replaced by cut down Chevy marine distributor NOTE: The regulator (NAPA) is mis-marked! The BATT terminal and the ARM terminal are reversed!!!!!!!!
Sweet! Those make such a sweet noise and can make some great power when really cranking. I had modified mine to get rid of the variable speed mechanism. Are you going to run the electric solenoid regulator?
Nice work, I ran a VS and an SN for years on my Yblock. How about a shot of the front showing the drive? You got the clutch hooked up, or just running a straight ratio like el Scottto? I ran an AFB clone, and used the marine accel pump kit, never had a leak under boost.
Hi Gents reduced the size of the blown Merc video! I didn't actually do it my KBR son did! See attached below. Note: my regulator (NAPA) was mismarked...i.e the ARM tab should have been the BAT tab and visa versa! Who would have thought it?
Help can't seem to reduce video small enough to get it to upload. Its a shame because video is pretty cool. I'll try again!
