Thanks Guys, been working alot to get paint on it .
The underside and inside is good but the body work we did was a fast one, there will be loads of labor on the body before its time for the real paint .
Before final paint the goal is to put it together and test drive it and then have it thru the swedish tech inspection.

Our new shop neighbour is a sandblaster/painter and they lend me the key to there shop over the weekend.
First time ever I had a walk with a carbody to the paintbooth.
We shot the grille , doors and lid to but not the hood. Tomas want it to be clean when it time for the real paint so it stays bare for now.

  10. Martin,

You have a very distinctive style. Art deco in a way. Traditional with rounded edges. I like it alot.

Still hoping to see some progress on the wheels. At some point that will be all you have left to do. So I guess I will have to wait until you get around to finishing them up.

    Thanks for cheering me guys.
The wheels is at the moment a ¤%&% problem.
After a long time (2 years)I finaly got Mick Curtis to make the last two front wheel hoops and I had a friend who was in LA so he picked them up and brought them to sweden in his suitcase on the plane.
I ordered 17" for the front and 18" for the rear.
When I got them 17" they are exactly the same in diameter as the 18" .
Curtis told me that the 17" has a outside dia of 18.5" and they all have it so the one´s that is supposed to be 18" is 17".
When I asked him how it comes they have the same diameter he doesn´t reply on my mess to him.
Is skitty to sit half around the world and paying loads of money on some china hoops and it turns out like this.
Think I payed like 700 dollars for one pair ink. narrowing.

  15. It gets expensive fast. I had a problem with some parts shipped from the States to Europe and the best I could get out of the vendor - even after shaming them on another website - was an offer to replace the parts. So that only puts me out of pocket on shipping to and from Europe AND paying the fucking import duty twice. So ultimately I would have paid hundreds to end up with - at best - what I should have got in the first place for the original price. Thanks for nothing.

I also have got replacement parts on warranty from USA to Norway. You should not pay import duty on such items. You write the value to $0 and explain the case to the shipping company.

  22. Damn, you've come a long way from this!
I'm really enjoying this build, can't wait to see it come together now that the body is done.

    Thanks guys =)

Fellow Hamber "Fordpatina" helped me getting in contact with Merv Adkins who deals with Lincoln parts and after some mailing he sent me the original Zephyr gauges.

Had to weld back the top bolt-tabs as I removed them when modifying the top of the dash.

    What a great purchase!
Are you going to run a 1:2 reduction for the speed? lol

It would be a 1:1.609 converter needed if I want to go km/h. Dont know if someone makes it.
Biggest problem is that the speedo has a different thread then the th700 speedo cable .

I was hinting that the speedo only goes to 100mph; now, that may not be quite enough! ha ha.
No matter what; that dash will look fantastic.
    Davo.
