Mike, right or wrong. This is how I finishing the welds.
I had to adjust the subrail to get the door closing properly.
Here I used the tig and I make sure that both sides of the cut lines up together before welding.

The disc on the side is the one that I start with if its a mig weld and when there is a tig weld that doesnt build so much I start direct with the flap disc.

Changing to this low rpm machine , 80 grid and make sure the hole disc lies flat to the metal. Grinding on the edge of the paper is a no no.
    This removes the waves .

    Thanks Brady :)

Found these old marchal's on the second floor, I have no idea of what car they come from.
They have a little lense on the top, maybe for turnsignal indicator.
Any how, they works great sizewize.

Thanks for posting your process!! What amazing work , man you can lay down one nice bead with the tig.

How does your door fit in the area you welded. Mine will need work wide at the front .

Yes, last friday I found a guy with a large cnc mill and he is going to help me out with the final machining.
Still miss the front aluminum hoops but I got a text mess yesterday from Mike Curtis that they should be done till next week, he is making them thinner. And then it is shipping time .

My driver side door did hit the subrail in middle bottom but the passenger door was better.
The doors was about 1/2" to far out in the lower rear corner but Tomas just put some wood in the middle between the b-p and the door and bend with a hand in the top and a foot in the low corner.
I was in shock to see how soft the doors are :)

It is the stock windsheild, it in a really bad shape . Rotten underneth .

Started with the top trim for the shell today, it needs to be longer and another shape to fit the 32/adler front.
Some hours still before its done.
